Dr. Jenny Pfleghaar is a double board certified physician, Emergency Medicine and Integrative Medicine. She graduated from LECOM – Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, trained at St Vincent’s Mercy Hospital for EM residency and her Integrative Medicine fellowship was completed at the University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine.

Dr. Jen is very passionate about health. She completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine. Healthcare is often symptom-focused and reactive, rather than prevention-focused and proactive. Patients and physicians rarely discuss nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle change, and instead focus mainly on diagnosis and treatment of disease. Many clinicians feel unprepared to discuss the safe and effective use of dietary supplements or herbal medicines, or how to help patients incorporate relaxation or mind-body practices into their lives. She believes it is important to take the time with each patient and develop a strong relationship. Her own health dilemma of Hashimoto’s disease (which is now in remission), having MTHFR mutations and having her own children made her journey into Integrative Medicine a passion and a way of life. Some of her areas of focus include thyroid disease, hormonal imbalance, nutrition, ADHD, anxiety, stress reduction, eczema, and fibromyalgia.

Dr. Jen currently works at PflegMed: Center for Integrative Medicine and Natural Aesthetics. She also works the night shift in the ER a few times a month. Her supplement company, Healthology by Dr. Jen hosts high quality supplements, protocols and a blog! Dr. Jen is passionate about teaching and educating people on health. She is the co-author of the book Eat. Sleep. Move. Breathe. A beginners guide to a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Jen is a board member for the Invisible Disabilities Association and Vice President of the NWOOA (Northwest Ohio Osteopathic Association). She likes to also spend her time at her children’s sports games, boating with her family and lifting weights.
